From the Sublime to the Gutter

At 2 p.m., a performance of the Tales of Hoffman by the San Francisco Opera

At 6:30 p.m.,  "Man of Steel," a story of Superman from his his birth on Crypton, to his childhood in Kansas, and on to the world stage saving mankind

At 9:40 p.m., "The Bling Ring" during the screening in which we get a glimpse of the extravagant lifestyle of Paris Hilton

From the sublime
to popular chase 'em and blow stuff up
to the gutter

I prefer the sublime.

Slumming was not as much fun as I thought it would be.

Hey Arlene, long time, no ... no ... comment, I guess. Hope you are doing well. I'm back in the weight loss questing mode, but it seems that people don't blog so much anymore. I suppose I'm supposed to write on my wall in Facebook.

Lorraine: I wasn't avoiding home.

I purchased a mini-subscription for the San Francisco Opera's 2012-2013 season. I adore opera. My original ticket was for a Sunday afternoon performance. I opted to stay in Thr City on Sunday night so that I could meet my son, who works in The City, for lunch on Monday. Since I was going to stay in The City for one night, I decided that it would be time well spent if I stayed for two nights so that I could catch another opera on Saturday night.

After Sunday's opera, I opted to go to an iMAX theatre. I was interested in seeing 3D such a theatre. Since I was going to be in The City, I thought I'd take the opportunity to experience it.

As to the Bling Ring, that was a guilty pleasure, something in which I rarely participate. I wanted to see Paris Hilton's closet. I'd also read that it was a good film.

My weekend in The City was a mini-vacation.

Hi Don Q,: I'll check your blog one of these days.

I returned to Weight Watchers a little more than a month ago. I haven't posted about this, but have commented on a site for local WW members and on Al's fitness Facebook site. I don't know if you remember Kim. He's done well with maintaining his weight which he says is about 10 pounds more than his low.

Thanks for checking my blog. I've only recently resurrected it and don't know how much or little I'll post.

Arlene, I'm going back too to WW because everything else is high fat high protein, and it makes me sick, literally, and I don't cook and the packaged meals are delicious...I know it would better for me if I cooked, but if I did I would just quit, ,sides I eat a lot of raw veggies, and blueberries and strawberries lol
