I'm going to do this pretty much daily until I can easily and accurately complete it.
What is this? It's a fill in map of the Middle East. With my first attempt, I learned how truly ignorant I am. As I continued with it, I found myself understanding more about the relationships between these countries. Learning in this way becomes a game. The prize is knowledge and a context through which to understand events in this region of the world.

Hi Arlene, thank you so much for sharing that. I am geographically challenged. To say the least. Hopeless! I get lost in my own town.
I am going to do that once a day too, then i am going to look for others of its type for the rest of the world.
Have a great day!
Tracey
wow! I would totally get a big fat F!!! Awesome concept! We are never too old to learn..
You inspire me to learn something new today, Arlene. Thank you ;)
Love doing things like this and also reckon my world geography is better than most.
Got most of them 1st time, failed on Qatar, Oman, & Western Sahara though.
Also got Kyrgsykstan & Tajikstan the wrong way around.
When you're right you're right, I totally loved it, of course as you figure out where they are and you hear back about some situation, it clicks, wow I love this, thank you ;)
Wow I can see how this would be addicting. I always think I know geography, but I was stumped by a lot of those. Guess I don't know as much as I thought I did.
i ended up with bahrain left over, and nowhere to put it :(

Kathy: At this point, I've got the Middle East nailed, but will have to keep coming back to it for it to stick in my mind. I've also been doing a U.S. map. I'd started out knowing mainly the western and dust bowl states. I now have a pretty good idea where all of them on. Next, I think I'll tackle Europe.
Annette: I definitely started out with an F for both the Middle East + the U.S.
Mick: I'm impressed. My hubby also impressed me by getting most of them right.
Lorraine: You are so absolutely right about things clicking once you know where these countries are in relationship to each other.
Rebecca: This has been major addicting to me. Last night I was up until past midnight doing the U.S. over and over again.
Laughingwolf: Bahrain is the little dot near Quatar. It looks like it's already filled in. I'm impressed by your knowledge. Considering how you, Mick, and my hubby did, I'm wondering if men are better than this than women.
What a terrific idea! I am so ignorant of European and Asian geography once you get past the major players!
btw...I'm sorry the commercial wouldn't play for you! Here is the address, if you're still interested in seeing it.

Hi Arlene.
I couldn't see what "this" was. The link was broken. But good luck at it anyway.
Thanks for the visits, and hope to see you again soon.
Take care and have a great week.
Lisa
Kathy: I've pretty much nailed the Middle East after playing at this daily, sometimes several times in a day. I've also pretty much mastered the U.S. Previously I knew the Western states, the dust bowl states, and a few others.
Lisa: I'm sorry the link didn't work for you. It's working now.
If you can identify all the States you are doing better than 90% of us! lol What reference are you using? I've never seen anything here that refers to the dust bowl states! Interesting.
Kathy: I recently read a book about the depression era "dust bowl" entitled "The Worst Hard Time" by Timothy Egan. The location of those states became familiar to me. I've learned the U.S. states with the fill-in puzzle at

It took me a long time to pass the 3rd grade.
Kathy (again): I mentioned the book in my Dec. 31 post.
Arlene...I failed the first two times! I told you! lol
